I decided to include this little tidbit about the ginkgo biloba extract once I saw that Dr. Konstantinov, the developer of this book, is an advisor to the Russian government. I also read this in Russia, and there have been many physicians practicing ginkgo biloba extract. I found it curious that Dr. Konstantinov includes it as a very helpful wellness supplement because it is extremely controversial. The fact that he acknowledges this and writes about it makes me wonder just what his motives are.

Alzheimer’s is a degenerative disease that destroys the brain cells and triggers the mental decline known as dementia, which slowly becomes worse over time with no cure. That is why everyone would like to know if ginkgo biloba can protect against dementia.
Regrettably, there are still no studies on these, but there have been some promising results in clinical trials with extracts from the ginkgo biloba tree. In one study, mice were given a small amount of the infusion daily. A few of the results showed that the mice didn’t have a lower risk of developing cataracts. However, more research is required to know whether these outcomes are valid or not, especially since there are still so many doubts regarding side effects.
